Chennai, 13th November 2017: The Second Edition of UEF Trade Summit will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre on 18th and 19thNovember 2017.
The biennial summit will feature a two-day Seminar and Trade Expo, and notable policy makers who are expected to the attend the event will be Union Minister of Commerce & Industry,Shri Suresh Prabhu;Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. O. Panneerselvam and Minister for Financeof Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. Haseeb A.Drabu.

UEF Trade Summit 2017 serves as a platform bringing together various key stakeholders to deliberate and agree on ways that can effectively influence the Economic, Industrial, Educational and Social Development of the country. The Summit aims to open up opportunities to provide financial facilitation, guidance and assistance to entrepreneurs including women and youngsters. Established industry leaders will be using this platform to provide motivation and guidance to start-ups and budding entrepreneurs by sharing their valuable experiences on how they have overcome challenges.
President of UEF, Mr. Ahmed A.R. Buhari said, “UEF Trade Summit 2017 follows the remarkable success of its debut in 2015, which brought together a congregation of over 2000 attendees comprising of political leaders, policymakers, economists and thought-leaders represented from over eight countries. The previous edition of the Summit saw 6 MOU’s being signed, creating a business value of more than Rs. 2,400/- Crores. Buoyed by the success of the first edition, we are delighted to bring it back bigger this year with participation from far more policy makers and thought leaders. We are proud to support the 'Make in India' initiative through this Summit by encouraging investments into India and also contributing to the nation's GDP. UEF also aims to increase contribution of the backward community towards Tamil Nadu’s GDP to 7.5% from 5% by 2030.”
